KatieI’m a small town girl from rural Southeast Texas, who relocated to Buckeye, Arizona, when I agreed to marry Brandon Leister.

We met at Texas A&M University, where I received a Bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications and journalism, with a minor in agricultural economics, and a Master of Agribusiness. Just a few weeks after we finished our graduate coursework in College Station, Texas, we planted our first wheat crop in Arizona.

Brandon helped me start this company, and I help him keep Rocker 7 Farms and Rocker 7 Ranches running smoothly. Together, we raise alfalfa, wheat, sudan grass, sorghum, sunflowers and cattle in the Valley of the Sun.

When I’m not helping on the farm, I devote my work to helping other small businesses, particularly agribusinesses, develop their market potential with crafted copywriting for print and online media. But you can read more about my services here. Or take a look at some of my work here.

If I’m not changing irrigation water on the farm or writing at the computer, I like to accompany Brandon on camping, fishing and hunting trips, read a good book, enjoy a cup of coffee, and do some writing about our life as newlyweds on the farm.
